App serviceReceives queries from PyRel and coordinates work on the reasoners needed to evaluate them. Created when the Native App is first activated.

Reasoner pools

LogicPrescriptivePredictiveHost logic, prescriptive, and predictive reasoners on Snowflake compute. The app creates the pools at first activation. Reasoners are provisioned separately for workloads.

• Application databaseStores app state and SQL procedures for operating the app. The database is created at installation and remains when the app is shut down.
• App warehouseProvides Snowflake compute for app operations, separate from the compute pools that host the service and reasoners. Created at first activation, it consumes credits while running.

Your Snowflake data

PyRel sends queries to the app service in your Snowflake account. The service manages work on reasoners, the compute resources that evaluate the queries. Logic reasoners handle rules-based logic and graph algorithms; prescriptive reasoners handle optimization; predictive reasoners handle predictive analytics. Results are returned to PyRel.The app service runs on app operations compute pools and exchanges work with Logic, Prescriptive, or Predictive reasoners on separate pools when needed. Reasoners are created by workloads. The app reads Snowflake source tables and views.
