New Features and Enhancements
Section titled “New Features and Enhancements”-
Model deployment now lets you deploy multiple PyRel models to one Snowflake schema, using a distinct prefix or suffix to keep each model’s objects separate. Values are uppercased and no separator is added. Choose unique names because conflicts may go undetected if deployments run at the same time or the deployment role cannot see every model. Model deployment remains in Public Preview.
-
Predictive Reasoning now exports large inputs as one file, fixing a missing-file error when its service expected one file but received several. For other CSV exports, use
partition_csv_exports=Falseonly when the receiving workflow requires one file. Other exports remain split by default. Predictive Reasoning is in Public Preview. -
Model deployment now supports rule-based outputs whose identity includes multiple properties across related entities. Learn about identity schemes in how to declare concepts.
Bug Fixes
Section titled “Bug Fixes”-
PyRel model queries now handle more cases involving recursion, negation, and aggregates correctly.
-
For deployed outputs that use
datetime.now(), PyRel now uses the refresh start time instead of changing the value on each query. Ad hoc queries still use the current time. On Snowflake, if an output usesdatetime.now(), PyRel always deploys it as a regular table, even if you configured it as a dynamic table. -
A PyRel query that selects multiple fields from related entities and uses one field as a fallback when another is missing now runs successfully during model deployment.
-
When you redeploy a model to Snowflake after changing its output columns, model deployment can now recover from some schema changes Snowflake cannot apply directly. The output table is replaced and its grants are preserved. Rows are repopulated during the next refresh.
-
During model deployment, PyRel no longer raises a
Shadowed variableerror. -
In programmatic configuration, values you pass to
create_config()fordeployment.schemaordeployment.meta_schemanow take precedence over values inraiconfig.yaml. Omit either setting fromcreate_config()to use its value fromraiconfig.yaml. -
Model deployment now checks required privileges during deployment. Grant those privileges to the configured deployment role so a missing grant does not cause a later refresh to fail.
