How to install this version

Review the changes below before installing. To install this version, activate a compatible Python virtual environment and run:

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed indefinite waits during model deployment failure cleanup. rai models deploy now waits at most 180 seconds for background work. If you see Background Work Abandoned, Snowflake SQL statements may still be running, so wait for PyRel’s temporary deployment lock to expire before retrying. Model deployment is in Public Preview.

  • Added permission checks for Logic Reasoner sources before model deployment changes its outputs, with related errors shown together. The deployment role needs SELECT on each source and USAGE on its database and schema without relying on other active roles. Dry runs skip these checks, and changes made before the checks may remain after a failure.

  • Fixed a Snowflake refresh error when grouping aggregate results by a newly created entity with multiple identifying properties, including a property with a default value. Redeploy existing models with PyRel 1.35.2 to apply the fix.

  • Fixed numeric conversion errors in supported deployed model joins involving properties referencing multiple concepts. Properties holding one value and accepting multiple concept types, AnyEntity, or Any now store encoded identifiers instead of identifying property values, so review SQL consumers before redeploying with PyRel 1.35.2. Some unsupported identity comparisons can now stop deployment with an explicit error.

  • Fixed incorrect reads and joins in deployed models whose identifying properties refer to other entities, with nested key values now stored in separate columns. Redeployment can replace model outputs and rename columns, so review SQL before redeploying with PyRel 1.35.2 and update affected queries. Conflicting generated column names and some unsupported identity schemes now cause deployment errors, while distinct entities with composite identities can still look identical in query results.

  • Fixed refresh tasks choosing serverless compute instead of the active Snowflake warehouse for model deployments already using compiler.optimization="aggressive". Redeploy with PyRel 1.35.2 to apply the fix. Without an active warehouse, serverless compute remains the fallback, and the deployment role still needs task permissions.

  • Shortened graph reasoning result names in diagnostics and deployed model outputs without changing calculated values. When redeploying with PyRel 1.35.2, check for renamed columns and update affected SQL queries. Graph reasoning is in Public Preview.

  • rai models list now warns and skips unrelated optional Snowflake shared databases that are no longer available, so listings may be incomplete. Unavailable databases still stop the listing when required or when a complete list of models is requested. Listing shared models is part of Public Preview model deployment.

  • In Graph Neural Network (GNN) predictive reasoning, PropertyTransformer now raises ValueError before export for properties explicitly named in datetime= or time_col= with known incompatible types. Cast date sources to DATE or TIMESTAMP and reload, or remove non-date properties from both settings and reclassify or drop them. This check does not validate date strings or unknown property types.
